Neil was born as a singer-songwriter, he began writing songs in English at 14 years old and from that moment he no longer stops composing. First with Hope Leaves with which recorded a demo in 2006, then as soloist with the debut album "Apart" in 2011 up to today with the production of "Black Flowers." Neil is characterized by being a large European scope songwriter leaving transpire from his folk pop music infused with acoustic guitars and dreamy lyrics. His latest album composed of 11 songs is an intimate journey through the experiences and stories of Neil, who through his continuous vision gives us a great scenery and breathtaking views of the different facets of their lives. The album was produced in Sicily by Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera) and will come out to Seahorse May 26th 2017. The Single from radio rotation will be the second track on the album "Blank Sheet".
“Black Flowers" is a good pure rock work but also quite varied, which makes the final result very pleasant and suitable for many, that will bring definitely many listen to the lovers of the genre.
Neil is a musician who knows where he is going and wants to take us with him, taking us by the hand in a land where everything is not slight but at least we can share it with someone else who will help us carry our burdens.
…In conclusion I would say that Paolo Messere (Blessed Child Opera) has been found to produce a truly original masterpiece. Black Flowers definitely deserves to be heard and appreciated for all its nuance and every defect, assuming you will find someone!
If Neil, in Black Flowers, wanted to represent the artist's unease - and man’s- towards a certain conformism of bourgeois memory, He certainly succeeded in a mature way and well held by the content (melodic and lyrical).
The Baudelairean emphasis and the folk music are good tools to get clear and without rhetoric listener, preferring to emphasize the desolation and human suffering, rather than enhance it as a vice to be cursed poets
who surf autumn drunken boats.
